Interdisciplinary research is a key for Network Medicine.
In consideration of societal demands, we will focus first on metabolic diseases, cancers, and immune diseases and will advance the achievements of the last 21st Century COE to establish Network Medicine research. Toward this end, we are organizing Interdisciplinary research Force (IF) to maximize collaboration among laboratories.
We will also devote our efforts to systematically cultivate second-generation young scientists who can effectively break down the communication barriers between existing research settings and who can integrate a broad spectrum of research findings and educational experiences to further develop interdisciplinary translational research and education activities.
